Hey you :)
Ooookay this will be interesting... Let's see how much I remember from Summer.
Christmas was interesting. I really am not used to this many people being in one house. But it was fun. I got a onesie and loads of sweets. (some more stuff as well, but eh.)
As I had said, we went camping over New Years. I turned 17 and we had a lot of fun. And let's just say 90% of the trip were spent playing with dogs.
After camp things died down a bit.
... Yeah I can't remember much else tbh :/
Anyways: School started up again three weeks ago. Surprisingly I got back into the swing of things fairly quickly. I have a lot to do thing year, especially school wise. There's a slight expectation of me to get 90 credits or even over 100. What did I sign up to?
But yeah, school is good so far.
I finally got drum lessons sorted, yesterday was my second one. I also joined Stage Challenge (Dance) and it's really cool. And - being the badass that I am - I am now doing Archery. Has been quite a while since I had a bow and arrow. Only now I realize how much I miss Medieval Markets with Mum. Another thing for us to catch up on next year.
We (Year 13) play a lot of Buzz in our study periods. Really, A LOT. Thank god for the common room. It's really cool, a lot of couches, a fridge, a microwave, two tv's and a stereo. And ping pong/table tennis table. I like it there.
I finally figured out why I was struggling with my book and I reconstructed some things, brought a new order and new ideas in. Let's see if I really will be able to publish it here. It woudl be great, really. I mean, I am writing in english so it makes a lot more sense to publish it in an english speaking country.
What else?
A couple days ago I sent a package with birthday presents home, let's hope nothing goes wrong and it's there on time. I'm quite proud of myself, really. Two presents each.
And then there's me giving myself a present: I'm buying a kindle. I can't afford buying more and more books (physical copies). I don't know how I'm getting the ones I have home... Smart me.
I also bought a new phone, seen as my old one went for a bath. But it was time anyways. Really happy with the new one :)
I am finally starting to get onto the healthy path. Having salad for lunch, drinking loads of water and working out. Another goal with a number. Hm.
I have started thinking about how close (but still somehow far) the end
of my school years is. I mean, ten more months and then I won't need to
go to school anymore. Whoa.
18 Months New Zealand
On here I will blog about my 18 months away in New Zealand, where I hope to archive my NCEA and make some amazing memories.

Exams and Such
I quite like the exam system here, a lot more than the one back home at least.
I've had three exams so far: History, English and Biology. On Thursday I'm taking Media Studies and then I'm done with this school year and will only have prize giving to go. So Thursday will be my second to last day in uniform - thank god. I really can't wait.
Tomorrow I'm going ice skating with the other Internationals, which hopefully will not be some sort of crash course in ice skating because I just really miss being on the ice so I'm looking forward to finally setting skates back on ice. Please let it not be a crash course, I just want to skate.
Maybe I'll be able to take some pictures. Hopefully.
On the 30th of November we're putting up the Christmas tree and I'm really excited. It has been a while since I had an actual, big Christmastree, so yeah I can't wait. But then after the prize giving on the 2nd Ashlee leaved on the 3rd for Vietnam for three weeks which means I won't see her for the majority of December, which sucks.
The only other plans I know of are that we're going camping on New Years Eve till the 4th, which means I will have my birthday while camping. I'm not sure if I like that or not, seen as I won't be able to skype anybody. Rowan hates it already :/.
Um, what else is there? Oh yeah. I am going to the airport on the 29th, to say goodbye to Ilaria, an Italian International student. Basically saying goodbye to my only actual friend here. Damn. I really am horrible at making friends. I hope that gets better next year. Please let it get better.
I'm pretty sure that's it. I'll update tomorrow about how the Ice skating went. Let's hope everybody is free to skate where and how they want. :)
PS: a third of my 18 months here is almost over, sort of really fast but still slow. dunno if that's good or bad.

Fairlie, Lake Tekapo and Castle Hill
so the second week of holidays was busy. and now that i had my first week back at school i wish i was back in fairlie.
okay, first things first:
Fairlie: wonderful place. we were out on the country, with a big field AND mountains as view. the house was really nice and even though we were quite a lot of people it was just right. me and my hostmum sat outside for an hour and a bit in our sleeping bags to see the blood moon. it was extremely awesome.
we made a trip to lake tekapo (WOW the colours in that lake) and had wonderful evenings with a lot of laughter.
Castle Hill: big rocks. lots of 'em. and it was hot. we also went to lake pearson that day and had a picknik. i will add pictures once my camera decides to give them up :)

First three weeks! Woohoo!
sooooo...
since I didn't write anything since my flight, here another update post:
I arrived in New Zealand on the 18th of July, a Friday. My host family picked me up from the airport, I felt a bit awkward. But when we arrived at their home - my home now - I felt myself relax. I was tired and my back was sore, but I still was happy. Now I can say that I am incredibly happy with my host family. They are super nice and loving. We joke and laugh a lot and so far it has been great fun.
School... Well. The first day of school me and five other international sutdents had orientation. They were two french students, one from Italy, one from Spain and another one from Germany. We got a tour around the school and chose our subjects. The next day we got our time tables and were brought into our first class. I felt incredibly nervous. But later on the tension fell off. I get along well with the other international students and I think I am on my way to making friends with a few kiwi students. I am starting to feel the familiar 'ugh school' feeling, but yeah. That was expected.
This week we have a japanese student living with us as well. She is really lovely.
Okayyyy... I think from now on I will post regularily. Every weekend a summary of the week that passed.
See ya!

Update thingy?
Okay, so I'll be flying this sunday, the 13th of July, and arrive in New Zealand on the 18th due to a five hour stay in Singapour and a three day stay in Sydney. My first day of school will be on the 21th of July.
So far I've skyped two times with my host family and I really like them. After a few good laughs I was told that I'll fit in perfectly with them and yeah, I kinda am less worried.
My biggest worry right now is the whole flying situation, since this is my secodn time flying and the first time I actually only flew for about an hour or so. Yeah, nothgin against two days with three different countries as stops. Oh god this is making me anxious as hell.
But yeah. Just wanted to update you on the current situation and stuff.

um... hi?
So yeah. Hey. I'm Luna and in about eight weeks I will be flying to New Zealand for 18 months to archive my NCEA. I am from Germany and kinda new to the whole blogger thing. But I decided to do it anyways. I hopefully will also be doing vlogs on a youtube channel.
So hi, right now this will be all a bit empty and stuff, but once I'm in New Zealand... Well, we'll see :)
